There have been many talented drummers throughout the centuries. They all brought a unique talent and musicianship to the art that have inspired and musicians throughout their lifetimes and even after. However the art of playing drums require more than the ability to merely crack a rhythm. As the masters have shown us, there needs to be swing and authenticity too.

Here are a few of the top drummers of our time condensed in this small but legend list:

1. John Bonham

John is considered by many to simply be one of the most prolific drummers of all time. If you listen to the Zep albums you can’t help but be blown away by the rhythm he brought to the music. Although he was never a flashy drummer and didn’t use huge kits, he is still revered by many as the best of the best.
2. Phil Collins

Phil is considered to be one of the best drummers and most musically inclined of our generation. The work he did with Genesis brought music alive and was a solid foundation for the music he would create later in his career. When Gabriel left the band in the mid 70s, Phil took over the reins as lead vocalist but continued playing the drums on future CDs.

3. Neil Peart

Neil certainly influenced many young drummers. His band Rush was loved by millions and the Bastille Day from the Caress Steel album still remains a huge fan favourite. The Fountain of Lamneth, a great example of Neil’s mastery was a huge hit for the band. However, in 1982 they released Signals, which signalled the end of the massive reign of Rush for many of their fans. You can still appreciate their amazing talent with their earlier releases though.

This article will discuss the latest trends to hit the interior decorating industry in 2012. There is an emphasis this year on the spring and summer collections. Four trends will lead the collections of this season including the more exotic styles and the coloured block. A few trends will include luxury and glamour while the rest will lean towards a vintage style.

The colour block trend is inspired by Pop Art and you will be able to see recreated fabrics and materials in the kitchen design. This style will include beautiful colours like red, yellow and blue. The cuts are straight and textiles attract attention with their graphics.

For those who don’t appreciate these extravagant colours they can always gravitate more to the neutral colours which complements vibrant tone elements like blue, fuchsia or yellow. Those people who would like to incorporate the trends in their homes but without going overboard, it is advisable to decorate in neutral colours and then add vibrant hues accessories like bright pink, blue klein or yellow.

The trend which is based on the exotic is suited to both interior and exterior decoration of furniture which is natural and based on the colours of the same nature. In textile prints animal prints are extremely saturated; if you don’t like these colours you can opt for earthy tones.

It might sound strange to call a trend luxurious, but in this case it is true. Textiles are added to the posh touch fabrics such as velvet, silk, British tweed and leather. The diversity certainly plays a role with the fabrics which comprises of metallic touches. The colours that will complement this trend is emerald, purple amethyst, ruby, gold and sapphire blue.

With this familiar vintage style come affordable solutions which will give you a unique touch to your home. Second hand furniture bought at flea market s can be restored and added as part of the decoration of beautiful rooms.

These trends will be sure to stay in fashion for a while to come, so you won’t go wrong by investing in any of these.
